Following a climb of Mount Everest is an interesting, exciting, and educational opportunity for students. Schools are invited to “join the climb” and attend "Classroom Everest." Sign up below and join the many students across the country as they apply classroom lessons to a trek up the world's tallest mountain. NOTE (May 21, 2008): The expedition is nearing it's end so the school sign-up has been removed.

• Place a logo of your school on this website. Your school will have its own page with information that you provide and we will rotate school logos in other areas of the site – so students feel this is their site too!

• Student questions. We’ll answer student questions gathered in advance of the climb and answer them during the climb via the blogs and videos posted from Everest. The student/school submitting the question will be referenced. Questions submitted while Jim is on the mountain will be compiled and sent to him weekly to include in his blogs. Students and classroom can submit their questions directly to Jim by posting it here http://www.mounteverest2008.com/BlogsVideos/Blogs/tabid/55/Default.aspx.  

• And more... we are working getting a comments section just for Classroom Everest so teachers and students across the country can share ideas of how they're utilizing this Everest expedition in their classroom lessons. We're hoping it will be an avenue for students and teachers to learn from each other.

Note too that we are working with a great charity called Youth Ventures. Part of Ashoka, Youth Ventures has a great, global effort underway that helps students become "social changemakers." There may be some opportunity to combine the Youth Ventures effort with your school’s.
